Grilled Vanilla Pears
Ingredients:
4 Bartlett pears
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
1/2 c. Burleson's Pure Honey
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 qt. of vanilla ice cream
Directions:
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400 degrees F.). Cut pears lengthwise into 4 thick slices, removing seeds and core; place on platter or flat surface. In 1-c. glass measure, microwave butter on High for 30 seconds. Add honey, cinnamon and vanilla; whisk together. Brush mixture over both sides of pear slices to coat evenly. Using tongs, place pear slices on hot grill. Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side. Serve pears over ice cream with remaining sauce. Makes 4 servings.
