Honey bees never sleep, and they are some of nature’s hardest workers.
At Burleson’s, we’re serious about the quality of our honey. .

That’s why we’re fully committed to the True Source Honey Program, the nation’s finest honey industry certification program.

Unfortunately, some honey producers and packers are more concerned with profits than the quality of the honey you purchase. In fact, millions of pounds of illegally sourced, adulterated and mislabeled honey—usually from Chinese sources—make their way to American grocery store shelves and then to consumers’ tables. This honey bypasses U.S. tariff and tax laws, often includes cheap ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup, and can be contaminated with harmful chemicals and pesticides. The True Source certification program began in 2011 to combat these illegal practices and ensure the quality of the honey in the U.S. supply chain.

Burleson’s has long been a supporter of the True Source honey certification program. We not only carry True Source certification labels on our bottles, we also participate at the highest levels of the industry to advocate for and strengthen the U.S. honey industry.

What does it mean to be True Source Certified?
When you see the True Source Certified logo on our honey, you can know each drop is ethically sourced in a transparent and traceable manner from known beekeepers and brokers; that our honey moves through the supply chain in full accordance with U.S. law and without circumvention of trade duties; that it carries truthful labeling as to its source, has been tested to ensure quality, and has been handled in a safe and secure manner from hive to table.
